Summer is a busy time for most of us. It has been hectic for me this month hence a late and condensed version of the newsletter.
Our last monthly family outing went well. Herb Bushong and Gene Coble cleaned the fish (and we had enough this year). Howard Ewert and his wife Nina along with Roy Harrington and his wife Lotus cooked the fish and onion rings. Herb Bushong won the Big Fish Plaque. We had our monthly drawing and last months winning loser was Randy Uhlich. We have a monthly drawing at each meeting/event. If that member is present he wins a $100 gift certificate from Sportsman's Warehouse.
We are having our July family outing this weekend at Pathfinder Reservoir. Bring a covered dish and your own plates and utensils. The club will provide soft drinks, chips, onion rings and cooking oil. All are invited and you do not have to be a member to attend. See you there.
I received a call from Jack Moore, the Casper Fire-EMS Department life jacket loan program co-ordinator.. It seems the Life Jacket Loan program is a big hit. So much so that the fire dept has from time to time had to turn people away. If we have a quorum of officers at this weeks outing I would like to bring up the options of getting a few more life jackets for the Fire Dept.
Mark your calendars. Our third annual Banquet for next spring is scheduled for March 10th 2007. We also have reserved a room for March 9th for another seminar.
The Wyoming Game and Fish crappie habitat program at Boysen Reservoir that we donated to this spring has already been completed for this year. The tree weights were made and the trees sunk the last part of June. There may be an opportunity for some volunteers to help with sinking some bushes near the sunken trees this fall.
